KATHMANDU, Feb 11: The capital received less than a millimeter of rain on Wednesday due to western disturbances.

According to meteorologist K B Malla at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the current weather system causing the rain has flowed to eastern Nepal but a second system is flowing on Thursday to the central region.

"It is likely that we will receive rain on Thursday," said Malla.

Malla further added that a westerly turf that began in Europe is currently in central Pakistan and the capital should expect another bout of rainfall on Saturday.

The rain has reduced the maximum temperature of the Kathmandu valley. The maximum temperature on Tuesday was 26.5 degree Celsius, while on Wednesday the highest recorded temperature was 22 degree Celsius.
