SINDHUPALCHOWK, July 23: The landslide and flood triggered by incessant rainfall has damaged roads in different parts of Melamchi and Helambu in Sindhupalchowk district.
Melamchi-Helambu and Melamchi-Panch Pokhari road sections have been obstructed due to flood and landslide that occurred on Friday night. The incessant rainfall has also left some human settlements of rural areas in the district at the risk of landslides.

The vehicular movement has been obstructed only for some time. We are vigorously working to reopen the road and protect the structures that are at risk," said Chairman of Helambu Rural Municipality Nima Gyalzen Sherpa said.
A massive landslide that occurred at Ramche of Melamchi municipality has blocked the road. Mayor Aitaman Tamang said an excavator has been sent to the landslide site to remove the debris and resume vehicular movement.
