Rain damages road in Rukum

RUKUM, June 11: The locals of Khalanga, the district headquarters of Rukum, are forced to walk for almost two days to reach other villages of the district after rains damaged all three roads. [break]



Rains have damaged dirt roads that connect Khalanga with Chaurjahari, Aathbiskot and Taksera of Rukum, shutting down public transport services. Public transport service will resume on these roads only after this year´s monsoon. Public transport entrepreneurs say they had to close down their service as landslides have damaged several portions of the roads.
