Rai, Limbu win gold in sound tennis

KATHMANDU, June 23: Umesh Rai of Khotang and Santamaya Limbu of Terethum won the men and women´s single title of the Second Eastern Regional Sound Table Tennis held in Dharan. In men´s final, Rai edged past Jeevan Bista of Morang 11-13, 11-6, 15-13. Deepak Rai of Dhankuta and Ashis Rai of Sunsari finished third. In the women´s section, Limbu registered a comfortable 11-6, 11-6 win over Rama Bhattarai of Morang. The tournament, organized by Nepal Blind Table Tennis Association under support of Ministry of Youth and Sports, was participated by 30 players including 15 female players.
