The 36-hole final match of the sixth event under the Surya Nepal Golf Tour began with both the players making the par on the first hole, then Rabi took the second hole with a biride to go 1 up. Then Shiva Ram won the 5th, 6th and 7th hole to go 2 up then Shivaram won 13th and 14th hole to be 4 up and won the 17th hole again to have 5 up lead before the break.
After the lunch break, it was Rabi who took control of the match; he won 19th, 20th, 24th holes to bring the match to 2-down. Then Rabi won both 28th and 29th holes to square the match. Rabi made a birdie on the 32nd hole to go 1-up for the first time in the entire match then sank another 25 footer birdie putt on the 33rd hole to take lead to 2-up then halved the next two holes to win the match. This is Rabi's tenth career title. After the victory Rabi said, "I couldn't believe that I was able to turn the match around. I played well in the first 18 but Shiva Ram played extremely well making eight birdies but I played calmly in the afternoon and result was on my favor."
Earlier for the match for third place Bhuwan (Umesh) Nagarkoti defeated Sanjay Lama 4&3.
Shivaram and team win Pro-Am title
With the victory, 38 years old Rabi earned Rs 50,000. Runner up Shiva Ram Rai received Rs 30,000. Earlier, Bhuwan got 22,000 while Sanjay bagged Rs 18,000.
The four losing quarter-finalists, Deepak Thapa Magar, Rame Magar, Ramesh Adhikari and Dhana Bahadur Thapa received Rs 10,000 each, while the eight pros eliminated from the first round - Ramesh Nagarkoti, Surya Prasad Sharma, Mani Rai, Suman Rai, Pashupati Sharma, Ram Krishna Shrestha, Chuda Bahadur Bhandari and Yelamber Adhikari - pocketed Rs 5,000 each.
