POKHARA, Feb 16: The team of pro-Shivaram Shrestha won the Surya Nepal Western Open Pro-Am title at the par-69 Himalayan Golf Course in Pokhara on Saturday.
Pro Shivaram was teamed with amateurs Arshiya Banu, Gita Gurung and Sushma Koirala accumulating 163 points to win the trophy. Pro Shivaram scored 42 points, Amateur Banu got 41 points, Gurung and Koirala got 40 each.
The team of pro-Bhuwan Nagarkoti (38) and amateurs Deepak Karki (39), Gopal Gurung (38) and Dr. Rita Thapa (38) earned a total of 153 for the second place.

While the team of pro-Surya Prasad Sharma (38) and amateurs Lal Gurung (38), Basanta Gauchan (37) and Bharat Tamang (37) accumulated 151 points to finish third.
The best female score award was taken by Arshiya Banu with 41 points. Jhalendra Bhattarai got the longest drive and Mithun Rai took the closest to the pin award.
In all, 78 players including 16 pros took part in the Pro-Am event played under stableford full handicap format.
Top pro scorer was automatically teamed with top three amateurs for the winning team.
Similarly fourth, fifth and sixth amateur scorer was teamed with second-best professional scorer for runner-up team and those amateurs finishing seventh, eighth and ninth were teamed up with the third best professional for the second runner-up team.
