KATHMANDU, Dec 23: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) held talks on Monday, discussing contemporary politics and possible electoral cooperation.
According to RSP Spokesperson Manish Jha, the meeting took place at the Kamalpokhari residence of RSP central member Asim Shah.

Sources said discussions are ongoing between the two sides on current political developments and future collaboration, with a focus on coordination and cooperation in the upcoming elections.
RSP Vice-chairperson Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal was also present at the meeting alongside Chairperson Lamichhane. Representing Mayor Shah were his aide and dialogue team coordinator, Kumar Ben, also known as Byanjankar.
Lamichhane, who was recently released on bail from custody in connection with the cooperative fraud case, has become increasingly active in political engagements following his release. This meeting marks one of his high-level political interactions since then.
Earlier, Lamichhane had met Prime Minister Sushila Karki on Sunday, during which he stated that the RSP would continue to support the current government.
