Python weighing 70 kg found in Sunsari

ITAHARI: A python weighing 70 kg has been rescued from a wetland in Haripur VDC of Sunsari district. After the 17-feet long reptile was discovered, it was rescued and kept at Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (KTWR).



 Warden at KTWR Rajendra Dhungana said locals with help from fisherman netted the python and handed it over to KTWR officials. [break]



Earlier, it had been reported that the python had swallowed some baby goats. “We were worried about our children,” said Ajmal Aajad, a local.
