Public pressure necessary to bring draft for new statute: CA Chairperson

NEPALGUNJ, July 12: Constituent Assembly Vice-chairperson Purna Kumari Subedi said public should pressurize the political parties to promulgate the draft of the statute within August 31.



Speaking at a press meet organized by Banke Chapter of Revolutionary Journalists´ Association on Tuesday, she said " General public´s hatred towards democratic system will grow more when the parties do not understand that Nepali people desires constitution in the slated timeframe".[break]



She complained that the parties have still failed to create consensus to bring statute in the slated time and said Nepali people have no alternative to believe the political parties and their leaders.



CA Vice-person Subedi expressed her confidence that the political agendas will easily be settled when the parties agree to implement the Comprehensive Peace Accord.



All the sectors could play dominant role to bring change in the country and they should have to play governing role to this effect, said Subedi.
