Public holiday today to mark Gyallo Lhosar

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: The Ministry of Home Affairs announced on Tuesday that the government has declared Falgun 14 (February 25) as public holiday to mark Gyallo Lhosar, new year´s day celebrated by Sherpas and indigenous people living in the hilly regions.



On Wednesday, all government offices within the country as well as in Nepali diplomatic missions abroad would remain closed to mark the holiday, the ministry said in a statement.
