Province 1 records seven more coronavirus-related deaths

MORANG, Nov 9: Province 1 recorded seven more fatalities linked with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past one day.

MORANG, Nov 9: Province 1 recorded seven more fatalities linked with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the past one day.



Of the dead, six were males and one was female. Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital saw three fatalities linked with the virus while Birat Nursing Home saw two deaths. Similarly, Koshi Hospital and Birat Teaching Hospital witnessed one death each.  


A 48-year-old coronavirus male patient from Ratuwamai Municipality-8, Morang, died in course of treatment at Koshi Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19 on November 3.


A 65-year-old male from Magalbare, Illam, died on Monday morning. He was admitted to Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital on November 2 and tested positive for the virus. The elderly was also suffering from diabetes and liver-related ailments. Another 72-year-old coronavirus male patient from Inaruwa, Sunsari, died while undergoing treatment at the same hospital. He was receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit after he faced breathing difficulties.

Likewise, a 57-year-old male coronavirus patient from Inaruwa-4, Sunsari, died while undergoing treatment at Birat Nursing Home.


Birat Teaching Hospital witnessed the death of a coronavirus female patient from Triyuga Municipality-19, Udayapur, on Monday morning. She was 65. She was admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19 on Saturday evening.


A 42-year-old coronavirus male patient from Damak Municipality-1, Jhapa, died on Monday morning at Birat Nursing Home. He was admitted to the hospital in the third week of October after testing positive for COVID-19.  


Likewise, a 65-year-old male coronavirus patient from Siraha breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Nobel Medical College Teaching Hospital. He was undergoing treatment at the isolation ward after testing positive for the virus in the last week of October. He was also suffering from a respiratory disease.
