Locals of Maleth VDC of Saptari have begun fast unto death in front of the District Development Committee demanding implementation of the agreement on holding the village council again among others. Among them, five persons including Rajendra Prasad Yadav and Anandi Yadav of CPN-UML, Sita Ram Yadav of Madhesi People´s Rights Forum and Mohammad Ibrahim Miyan of Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandidevi) have been taken ill. It is said that their treatment is underway in the protest venue.
Similarly, the protestors have obstructed the Rajbiraj-Rupani road section since Saturday morning.
