Protest against commodity price hike

KATHMANDU, July 27: Nepal Students' Union (NSU) today staged a sit-in protest at Baluwatar against the rise in commodity prices.

KATHMANDU, July 27: Nepal Students' Union (NSU) today staged a sit-in protest at Baluwatar against the rise in commodity prices. 


NSU technical students' council held a protest programme for an hour this morning over the hike in prices of consumer goods. NSU leader Deepak Bhattarai urged the government to take steps to curb prices for the relief of people. "High prices have hit the people hard, and it must be curbed."

Council chair Sijan Dahal students are one of the most affected groups by high prices of commodity. 


NSU is the political student wing close to the Nepali Congress.---
