KATHMANDU, March 16: The Ministry of Water Supply and Sanitation has come up with a proposal to manage sewage to be discharged from Singha Durbar, country's main administrative station, internally.
The Ministry has proposed to install an Omni processor machine within the Singha Durbar to process fecal sludge to be discharged from there. Presently Singha Durbar manages toilet waste through drainage.
Ministry Secretary Bheem Prasad Upadhyay said the proposal for installing an Omni processor machine inside the Singha Durbar is for an eco-friendly management of toilet sewage and for the reuse of wastewater.
According to the Ministry, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has expressed willingness to technically support in this plan, he said, adding that installation of an Omni Processor costs Rs 280 million. RSS
