Property worth Rs 17 lakhs gutted in fire

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: Property worth Rs 17 lakhs was gutted in a fire that broke out at a house in Dharan-17 due to electric short circuit.

The fire destroyed the one-storied house belonging to Indrahang Limbu, located just in front of the gate of BP Koirala Memorial Institute of Health Sciences. [break]

It took almost an hour for fire fighters aided by locals and police to contain the fire that started at around 12:45 last night.
