RAUTAHAT, May 2: Property worth millions of rupees was destroyed after a fire broke out at Everest Distillery Industry in Durga Bhagawati Rural Municipality in the district on Tuesday.
The fire had started from the storeroom of the industry. According to a security guard, the fire went out of control as the storeroom was filled with sprit and alcohol.
Locals, Nepal Police contained the fire with the help of fire brigade in around three hours. The shirt-circuit is suspected as the cause behind the incident, according to police.
However, no human casualties have been reported. District Police Office, Rautahat said they are investigating the case.
