Project to support Nagarkot quake victims

KATHMANDU, March 7: With an aim to help earthquake victims in Nagarkot, Baluwatar-based National College has started "Project Nagarkot" in collaboration with the Waseda University and the Sacred Heart University of Japan and Shreejalpadevi Women Cooperative.

The project provided scholarship to students of Shree Kalika Secondary School of Nagarkot, a local government school.


The project will also provide financial support for the reconstruction of the quake-ravaged school and to improve the livelihood of the locals.

Principal of National College, Mahadev Prasad Neupane, along with the senior management and the principal of Kalika Secondary School Madhu Thapa were present at the program held in Nagarkot on Thursday.

The National College is also planning to provide various training programs to the locals to improve their life skills, read the press statement issued by the college.
