Experiencing Nagarkot

Nagarkot; we all are well aware of the views of sunrise and sunset there. The beautiful range of Himalayas feels like you are on the top of the world. Even the Everest is seen from Nagarkot.

Nagarkot; we all are well aware of the views of sunrise and sunset there. The beautiful range of Himalayas feels like you are on the top of the world. Even the Everest is seen from Nagarkot.

I am a student at Everest College. For the first two days, the college organized a personality development program. This was done for our comfort and creating friend zones with other pupils. Our official orientation was announced on December 15 and 16 at Hotel Country Villa, Nagarkot.

Nagarkot festival kicks off

It was December 15, Saturday. The day started with a bright warm morning. All the students were instructed to reach college premises till 11 am. Arranging all the things, we headed toward our destination. We reached Nagarkot by 2 in the afternoon. The resort welcomed us with an open heart. We took some pictures and had snacks. Thereafter, we checked our rooms in a group of 4. We freshened up and went for our orientation program at the hotel’s seminar hall. The first session was taken by the Dean of Tribhuvan University Prof. Mr. Dilliraj Sharma. We were honored to have him. All the confusion and misconceptions about the course were clear. After a session of two hours, we had dinner at 7 pm.

Unexpected moments are always special and memorable. Our special guest, Indra Gurung- one of the best motivational and transformational speakers in Asia hosted this session. Studies should also be fun. We never expected that it would be so memorable and a life-changing night for everyone in the hall. He made us believe in ourselves and get back our lost self-confidence. The main reason behind this session was to help us develop visions and goals. He instructed us to make our dream board. This is practiced in Harvard as well.

The next morning was even better. We had a good breakfast. We performed different activities with balloons and ribbons. This made us clear about our future work in any organization. It also helped us to deal with confusions at workplace. We introduced ourselves. We were hopeful and confident. The biggest thing I learnt was to look at things positively. I learnt to see the positivity in others. This will make us realize our value.

We then had our lunch and travelled back to our homes with a dream and eyes glittering with hope. Here is how we had time at Nagarkot. Really, it’s the place where we see the sun rise set even in our lives.
