Prohibitory orders extended for five days in Biratnagar

BIRATNAGAR, Aug 21: The District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) in Morang has decided to extend prohibitory orders for five days.

BIRATNAGAR, Aug 21: The District COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) in Morang has decided to extend prohibitory orders for five days.



A meeting of the District CCMC made a decision to this effect on Friday keeping in mind rising cases of coronavirus. The ongoing prohibitory orders expire Friday midnight.

Chief District Officer in Morang, Kosh Hari Niraula, said that COVID-19 has been transmitted to the community level in Biratnagar and it requires stringent measures to control the same. "We believe that coronavirus can be brought under control to some extent if prohibitory orders are extended for five days," Niraula told Republica.


According to Bhim Parajuli, the mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan City, the metropolis had recommended to the district administration to extend prohibitory orders bearing in mind rising cases of coronavirus in the district.
