Prohibition order issued in Siraha till tomorrow: Gathering limited to five people

SIRAHA, Dec 28: The Siraha District Administration has issued a two-day curfew in the highway area after the CK Raut-led Janmat Party started an agitation.


The administration has issued a restraining order on the East-West Highway and the Siraha (Choharwa) road section (500 meters to the left and right) from 7 AM today to 5 PM on Wednesday after the Janmat Party started agitation including a transport strike.

According to the administration, it will not allow people to walk in groups in the restricted area and no more than five people will be allowed to gather. It is mentioned in the order that people are not allowed to hold any kind of gathering, assembly and procession.


According to Chief District Officer Lal Babu Kawari, the traffic will be smooth. The administration has warned that if the order is violated, they will take control of such people and take legal action against them.


A no-go zone has been set up along the National Highway from Balan Khola in the east and Kamala River in the west and Pikeraj Enterprises (up to petrol pump) 500 meters from Choharwa to Siraha road section. The Janmat Party has launched protests demanding the release of the arrested farmers without any conditions.
