KATHMANDU, Aug 23: Six hotels listed in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) witnessed a growth of 79.26 percent in their cumulative net profits in the last fiscal year (FY).
According to NEPSE, the profit earnings of the six hotels grew to Rs 1.25 billion in FY 2024/25, compared to Rs 700 million in the previous FY. Out of them, Soaltee Hotel earned profit of Rs 670.70 million, the largest of all.

Likewise, Taragaon Regency Hotels (Hyatt Regency) earned a net profit of Rs 515.40 million, Chandragiri Hills secured Rs 210.80 million, Oriental Hotels (Radisson) earned Rs 30 million and City Hotels suffered a loss of Rs 198.90 million.
The country’s secondary market last week also saw a growth in the hotels’ profits as the hotels and tourism group was the only group that posted 1.23 percent gain in its market value.
The total revenue of these hotels however declined 0.09 percent. In the review period, their revenue amount declined by Rs 6.20 million to Rs 6.96 billion.
