Speaking at a program organized to felicitate students who passed SLC examination in the Kavre district, KC said, "There should be an impartial investigation into the Sudan scam. No one should be spared because of any political protection if found guilty." [break]
He added that even those belonging to the Nepali Congress should be punished if the investigation finds them in the wrong.
"The Sudan scam has defamed the entire nation," he said, adding that the party leaders, no matter which party they belong to, should be punished if they have any role in the scam. KC said that it is shameful for his party, which has been promoting anti-corruption agenda from central to rural levels, that some central members have been alleged to be involved in the scam.
At the program, KC felicitated two topper students (a boy and a girl) of SLC-2011 from the Kavre district. He also announced that the best student from the district would be given full scholarship to study higher secondary at Kathmandu Milestone College.
