Following a decision by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, to ban protests in most parts of the capital—except for Siphal, Balkhu, and Koteshwor—royalist groups concentrated their activities in the permitted area of Siphal.
Protesters reiterated their demand for the abolition of the current system and the reinstatement of the monarchy, vowing to continue their movement until their goal is achieved.
In recent weeks, various royalist parties and groups have been staging regular protests in Kathmandu, posing additional challenges to the capital’s security management.
