Prithvi Highway reopens

KATHMANDU, Jan 10: After about three ours of disruption by former police and army personnel who deserted during a decade-long Maoist insurgency, Prithvi Highway reopened. According to state-run Nepal Television, the  protest  staged by the deserters in Mouwa Khola, near Chitwan-Dhading border, ended and traffic movement resumed. The agitators have been demanding that the government reinstate them in the service.
