Road has been disrupted since this morning when landslide occurred after a heavy downpour in Darechowk-9, Fisling. Prithivi Highway is the main highway connecting the Kathmandu Valley with rest of the country.
Hundreds of vehicles and passengers have been stranded after the road disruption.
Division Road Office has sent dozer to clear the disrupted way. But the road would only be cleared in the afternoon at the earliest, the office informed.
Meanwhile, Rimi-Wamitazar road in Gulmi has been disrupted due to landslide triggered by torrential rain for the past four days.
After the disruption of the road, vehicles and passengers going to and from Wamitaxar, Bhuwachidi, Majuwa, Palpa and Butwal have been stranded on the way.
It has been difficult to clear the way due to incessant rain, police informed.
