KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Taking strong exception to the decision taken by Dhanusha district committee of the Nepali Congress, party leader Chandra Mohan Yadav, who is also the son of President Ram Baran Yadav, on Monday, encircled the party´s district committee, Dhanusha, along with his supporters.

“I and my supporters encircled the party´s district committee office for a few hours,” Yadav told Republica. He said they were compelled to take the step as the district committee did not take a fair decision on nomination of candidates for the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) polls. [break]

Asserting that he is a capable leader, Yadav claimed that the party would suffer a great loss if he is not nominated as the candidate for the upcoming polls. “Party colleagues, including Mahendra Yadav, conspired against me,” he claimed. He also attributed his defeat in the previous CA polls to district leaders of the party.

“I am a doctor and capable of representing my area but the party does not want to field me as a candidate,” said Yadav. He also claimed that he would win the election if nominated by the party. He also warned of protests against the party if he is not nominated as the party´s candidate for the polls from Dhanusha.
