During the meeting, the president also advised leaders to recommend ordinances only after forging consensus on them.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, CPN-UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal informed, “We informed the president about the options of reinstating the dissolved Constituent Assembly or entering into the formal process after forging consensus on the contentious issues of the constitution making,” adding, “If consensus could not be forged on the contentious issues, new poll should be held.”

UDMF leader and Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minster Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar informed that the president expressed his concern on the stalled tasks of constitution drafting.
