President Yadav made this call in his message of best wishes given on the auspicious occasion of the Deepawali and Tihar, the second largest festivals of Nepalis today. The Head of State has wished these festivals inspire us all to work for attaining peace, stability and progress in society.[break]
Wishing happiness, peace and prosperity to all the Nepalis on the occasion, President Yadav stated, "The festivals of Deepawali and Tihar which are celebrated as special festivals of light that bring light by removing darkness would bring economic prosperity to Nepalis and promote brotherhood, social amity and unity."
Similarly, Vice President Paramananda Jha, in a message of best wishes on the occasion, stated that constitution alone which was being eagerly awaited in the country was the national need and the collective aspiration of the Nepali people.
He expressed the belief that the country would get a democratic constitution as per the people´s aspirations from the second election of the constituent assembly.
Stating that Nepal is full of religious and cultural diversity, he said that the festival of Deepawali is dedicated to Laxmi, the goddess of wealth and prosperity, and celebrated by all Hindus with enthusiasm as the festival of light and brightness.
May the festival of lights take the country forward towards stability and prosperity, ending the political impasse once and for all, the Vice President stated in his message.
Similarly, Chairman of the Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi has called on all Nepali brothers and sisters to make the forthcoming Constituent Assembly election successful by making use of their constitutionally provided right- the right to vote- as the gate to a new era in Nepal would open only through this election and as it is also an opportunity to ensure the wish of all the Nepalis for peace and development. He also promised that the election would be held in a free, fair and impartial manner.
In a message of best wishes on the occasion of the Auspicious Deepawali Festival-2070 BS today, Chairman Regmi stated that it was essential to frame a progressive constitution as per the country´s need and in tune with the times by establishing political stability. Conducting the Constituent Assembly election slated for November 19 has become our only objective for that purpose, he added.
Wishing that may the Auspicious Deepawali Festival-2070 BS take the country towards the process of progressive transformation by maintaining peace , goodwill and unity among all Nepalis and to keep alive the cordial relations existing among the Nepalis, Chairman Regmi extended best wishes for the happiness, peace, good health, prosperity and continued progress of all Nepali sisters and brothers.
