Prez Bhandari urges govt to end hardship at soonest

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: President Bidya Devi Bhandari on Thursday urged the government to seek immediate solution to end hardship people are facing owing to blockade.

During a visit by a delegation from Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), President Bhandari opined that the government should come up with long term plans to minimize dependency on foreign countries.

On the occasion, President Bhandari raised serious concerns over the ongoing political deadlock and the hardship of normal lives of the people and assured to take the issues seriously and help solving the problem as a guardian.

“I would leave no stone unturned to unite the country and resolve the political deadlock,” she said.

The delegation led by FNJ Chairman Mahendra Bista had urged the president to take special initiatives to unite the country and help solving current political deadlock.

He also highlighted problems faced by journalists and sought support to address them.
