In Bhadrapur, the Jhapa chapter of the Press Union distributed fruits to patients in Mechi Zonal Hospital to mark the occasion.
Hospital chief Dr Uma Kanta Jha, Campus chief of Mechi Multiple Campus Chintamani Dahal, President of Jhapa Chambers of Commerce and Industry Rajendra Ghimire and Union’s Jhapa President Bhim Nembang as well as central member Lok Raj Dhakal took part in the programme.
Similarly, the Union’s chapter also honoured the living martyr of Jana Andolan II of Dhulabari, Gopal Shrestha, by providing him a financial assistance of Rs 2,001.
On the occasion, Union’s central member Dhakal said the Congress-affiliated press body will always work for social welfare.
