KATHMANDU, Nov 11: Qatar Airways organized the inauguration ceremony of its 20th anniversary in Bouddhanath Stupa in Kathmandu on Friday.

The event started with lightening of a traditional lamp by Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jitendra Narayan Dev, along with top 20 travel agents of Qatar Airways to commemorate the airlines' glorious 20 years of operations in Nepal.
Issuing a statement, the airlines said that it was providing incredible fares in both its economy and business class cabins, in addition to offering 20 lucky winners a Privilege Club Gold membership and discounts of up to 50 percent on redemption tickets to select destinations to Privilege Club members across its growing global network, to mark the 20th anniversary celebrations.
The statement further said that the national carrier of the State of Qatar was one of the fastest-growing airlines operating one of the youngest fleets in the world. Now in its 20th year of operations, Qatar Airways has a modern fleet of more than 200 aircraft flying to business and leisure destinations across six continents, the statement added.
