Preparations are underway for PM's visit to China: Foreign Minister Rana

SUDURPASCHIM, Nov 16: Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has stated that the Foreign Ministry is making preparations for Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's upcoming visit to our northern neighbor, China.


Speaking with journalists at the Dhangadhi Airport today, she mentioned that the Chinese side will send the agenda for the discussions during the Prime Minister's visit to China.

Foreign Minister Dr Rana said, "The ministries of the Nepal government are updating on December 12 about the cooperation and agreements with China, and the status of these agreements. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is preparing for this, and in a few days, we will sit down with the Prime Minister to decide which issues to prioritize during the visit to China.


She stated that Nepal has had close relations with its two neighboring countries, India and China, since ancient times.


In another context, Dr Rana, who is also a leader of the Nepali Congress, mentioned that as there is a government of large and competing parties, a mechanism has been established for understanding the relationship between the leaders and activists of both parties at grassroot level.


She said, "A mechanism has been created to make plans of the leaders, who aim to establish a stable government in the country, a reality."
