KATHMANDU, Oct 17: Nepali weightlifter Prakash KC is leaving for Penang, Malaysia, on Tuesday to compete in the IWF Youth World Championship to be held there from October 19 to 25.
Prakash will represent Nepal in men's 62 kg section. Prakash will be accompanied by Shakil Ansari of Banke in the capacity of coach.
Prakash has his personal best record of 93 kg in snatch and 120 kg in clean and jerk.
National Sports Council Treasurer Surendra Hamal bade farewell to the two-member Nepali team on Monday.
