KATHMANDU, Feb 27: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has sought clarification from 11 construction companies for not performing satisfactorily.
The PPMO has issued a notice stating that construction companies must provide clarification within the next seven days.
The notice mentioned that although the construction companies were initially asked to submit clarifications within 30 days, those who delayed have now been given a final seven-day opportunity.

Employees of the PPMO said that if they do not submit an explanation within the given period, the process of blacklisting will proceed.
The construction companies that have been asked to submit clarifications within seven days include Singh Construction led by Shiva Kumar Mahato, SD Construction led by Niraj Kumar Mishra, and Shivam Construction led by Radhe Shyam Jha. All these companies are from Janakpur.
Similarly, Rajita Nirman Sewa led by Karl Max Shrestha, Bipin Construction led by Sona Ullah Khan, A & D Construction led by Bhim Tamang, and Suryabinayak Construction led by Gopal Prasad Ghimire, have also been asked to provide clarification within seven days.
Additionally, other companies include BT/Jayababa JV led by Shyam Kumar Shrestha, Akanksha Construction Kathmandu led by Tilak Bahadur Malla, and Yagyashwori Nirman Sewa led by Bina BC.
