KATHMANDU, June 30: An unforeseen challenge has surfaced in the functioning of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA)'s electric vehicle (ev) charging stations across the country. The authority's data center experienced a power supply issue yesterday, leading to a complete shutdown of all charging stations.

Engineer Sagarmani Gyawali, responsible for overseeing the charging station operations, reported that the data center has been non-operational since last night due to the power interruption. "Efforts are underway to find a solution, and we anticipate resolving the problem within a few hours," he assured.

Gyawali further mentioned that they have been actively pressuring the relevant authorities to expedite the resolution process. Currently, NEA has approximately 50 operational charging stations spread throughout Nepal.
