He took time to underscore the need for creating jobs within the villages so as to encourage the youth force to seek employment locally and prevent a large exodus of youths from the villages in search of job opportunities.

According to the NC leader, an electoral alliance for the upcoming elections will be forged on a need basis.

As he claimed, doubts over the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact were gradually being cleared with the people realizing its potential benefits.

On the occasion, the former Deputy Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of a motorable bridge (20 meters long and seven meters wide) over the Chardi River. The structure will connect the Suryapal and Chardiramgha of Madhyanepal Municipality-3.

The municipality’s mayor Ramesh Kumar Pandey said the project was self-funded by the local government. The cost of the project is Rs 22.6 million and it will be completed within the next one and a half years, it is said.
