KATHMANDU, Nov 10: With 16 days to go for the parliamentary and provincial assembly elections, the Election Commission (EC) has completed transportation of poll materials to all 37 election constituencies in hilly and mountainous regions, where the first round of elections are taking place.
Poll materials including ballot papers, poll screens and voter education materials have already reached 32 districts, according to the election commissioners. “Poll materials for the first phase elections have already reached the respective districts,” said EC commissioner Narendra Dahal.

After completing the printing of ballot papers and other publicity materials for the first round of the elections scheduled for November 26, the EC has begun printing of ballot papers and voter education materials for second phase elections. The EC is conducting the second round of elections on December 7.
“So far, we have printed the ballot papers of 10 districts where second round of polls are taking place. We are sending ballots designed for two districts today [Thursday] itself,” said commissioner Dahal.
Along with poll logistics poll officers are deployed to the districts for voters’ education materials.
