Talking with the media persons at the party headquarters, Sapkota also urged the government to announce election date without any delay. [break]
“The government is currently focused on transfers and promotions of civil servants. I would like to remind that the government is not mandated to rule but only to hold election,” said Sapkota, accusing the government of deviating from its main responsibility.
According to him, the government is tempted to rule like an elected government. He also said that only the political parties are real representatives of the people and only they can “rule” the country.
Meanwhile, UCPN (Maoist) leader Krishna Bahadur Mahara on Saturday said that the government´s delay in announcing the poll date was creating an adverse political environment in the country. He also demanded that the government clarify as to why it had been delaying announcement of the poll date.
“Though the government is citing technical reasons behind the delay there is more to it than meets the eye,” Mahara told media persons in Chitwan.
