Dr Sapkota appointed foreign affairs advisor to Prime Minister Dahal

KATHMANDU, Oct 20: Dr Rupak Sapkota, a foreign affairs expert, has been appointed as the foreign advisor to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. A cabinet meeting on Thursday appointed Sapkota to the post.

KATHMANDU, Oct 20: Dr Rupak Sapkota, a foreign affairs expert, has been appointed as the foreign advisor to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. A cabinet meeting on Thursday appointed Sapkota to the post.


Dr Sapkota has been teaching International Relations and Diplomacy at Tribhuvan University. Earlier, Dr Sapkota has held the position of Deputy Executive Director of the Institute of Foreign Affairs.

Dr Sapkota is knowledgeable in world politics, international relations, geopolitics, foreign policy, national security and strategic affairs. In 2018, he obtained a degree in international relations from Renmin University in Beijing, China.


Recently, Dr Sapkota was included as a foreign expert in the high-level delegation of Prime Minister Dahal's official visit to China.
