MAHOTTARI, June 11: Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has affirmed that there will be no political instability in the nation from now on.

Speaking at a function organized by the party’s district chapter in Mahottari to welcome party cadres from other parties, Dahal said that after spending four decades in instability, the establishment of peace, constitution writing  and bringing good governance, these gains can  be utilized only if the present time is spent  in steering the nation toward prosperity.

“We have already spent four decades for political stability, introduction of peace, writing the constitution and ushering in good governance,” he said, “We should focus on development and prosperity in the upcoming decade.”

In addition to this, Dahal also proclaimed that if the ruling party in Province 2 works against the feelings of the public, the NCP will form the government in that province also. He warned Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJPN) in particular that if the province government goes against the people’s expectations, the present provincial government will be replaced by an NCP government.

“If the province government works for the people, the NCP does not necessarily have to form a government in Province 2,” Dahal added. “But if the government does not do so, NCP may form a government here too.”

Dahal also asserted that NCP and the RJPN are in discussions to determine how the current constitution could be amended, how other parties can be included in the process of development and prosperity, and how RJPN can be included in the central government.

He also claimed that the only party that can provide the people of Province 2  their rights and dignity is NCP; other regional parties cannot do so. Dahal proclaimed that the Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) was included in the central government and FSFN President Upendra Yadav  handed a ministry in order to make Madhes and Madesis feel included in the government, and that the constitution will soon be amended keeping the feeling of  Madhesis in mind.

Addressing the program, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwar Pokhrel said that the newly formed NCP is going to amend the constitution considering the ideologies and hopes of people from every part of Nepal.

At the same function, Minister for Industry Matrika Yadav said that in order to keep the people happy, the government needs to hasten various development works, and voiced his commitment to reopening of the factories that were closed.
