Police take dead body under control from crematorium

BIRATNAGAR, Jan 17: Police took the dead body of 28-year-old Prem Devi Shah under control from a crematorium along a local river in Biratnagar on Thursday.

As the parents of the deceased complained that her death was suspicious, police took the body of Shah under control from the Sanghiya River in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-8.

According to Morang Police, the dead body was taken under control following a complaint from the parents of the deceased.

“The dead body had a suspicious blue mark around the neck,” said Man Bahadur Rai, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Morang. 

Rai further added that the body was taken under control for post-mortem examinations.

The parents of the deceased were informed about her death at around five in the morning. As Raju Shah, brother of the deceased saw a fresh mark on the neck of her sister, he informed the police about the matter.

According to police, the dead body has been sent to Koshi Zonal Hospital for post-mortem examinations.

Meanwhile, police have also taken Gobinda Shah, the husband of the deceased, under control for investigation into the case. They were married about 12 years ago.
