Gyanu Baba´s captain Manju Gurung said that they are ready to avenge the Police team for the last year´s defeat. “We have good record against Police except in Pokhara and we will prove it this year. We were unlucky to be defeated by Police at our own home ground last time.”
During the semifinal match against Gyanu Baba, Fishtail had lost its key player Sipora Gurung due to injury. Gurung was out during the first set as she got injurd after a powerful spiking. She was immediately taken to hospital for treatment.
The chances of Gurung playing against Armed Police Force in the third place play-off are still in limbo.
Fishtail coach Balram Chhetri said that the loss of Gurung in the first set caused the team to lose the match. “The other team members could not perform as expected after Gurung was out of the team.”
