Lawmaker, Kedar Sanjel, inaugurated the police post built by the local residents at the call of Brahmannagar Town Reform Committee on Saturday.

The police post – which will house a law enforcement team headed by Head Constable – was established after the locals provided the space, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Prabinlal Shrestha, of Metropolitan Police Range Office Thimi.

At the inaugural ceremony, Bhaktapur's Superintendent of Police (SP), Kiran Bajracharya, was also feted. SP Bajracharya had recently been honoured in recognition for her anti-trafficking measures by the US State Department as a 2016 Trafficking in Persons Report Hero. RSS
