Police nabbed five youths with contraband drugs

BHAKTAPUR, Aug 31: Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur has arrested five youths with contraband drugs, who were involved in drug smuggling on Friday.



The police nabbed them with banned brown sugar, cash Rs. 81,500, mobile sets and other suspicious materials.



The police confiscated these materials from the house of Dikesh Nayab of Bhaktapur Municipality- 15, Byasi, said DSP Ramesh Thapa, spokesperson at the Range Office. [break]



The arrested were Nayab, Rajan Khyaju, 25, of Bhaktapur Munucipility-17, Sushil Tamarthu, 22, of the same municipality ward no. 12, Laxmi Narayan Manandhar, 25, of the municipality Ward No. 16, Pratima Pariyar, 20, of Nankhel VDC-6, said police.



The Range has launched a week- long drugs control campaign entitled ´Mukti´ and they were arrested in course of launching search operation in the district, said SP Jagat Man Shrestha.
