Police dominated the entire match but once again came up with their old problem in the finishing line as they failed to score any. Police missed more than as a dozen beautiful chances of scoring. The Most Valuable Player of the match WAPDA custodian Aziz also remained a big obstacle to the Police as he prevented several powerful attempts made by the home side.

With this draw, Police have earned one point. Police, who are at the bottom of the table, still have a slim chance of entering into the next round.

Police seemed to be unlucky from the beginning as a post attempt in the third minute by Yogesh Shrestha off Bhola Silwal´s cross pass from inside the D-box bounced after hitting the pole. Likewise, WAPDA goalie made a spectacular dive to send out a sitter of striker Jumanu Rai that he capitalized from a miss pass of the opponent.

In the 17th minute, WAPDA goalie made an intelligent dive and punched Bhola Silwal´s header on Rabin Shrestha´s pass above the bar. Likewise, in the 32nd minute, young striker Chetan Ghimire´s header off Yogesh Shrestha´s cross pass went wide. In the 42nd minute, WAPDA goalie prevented Deepak´s powerful shot from the line of D-box. WAPDA could not make any post attempt in the first half.

WAPDA came up with a better performance in the second half though Police´s domination continued. Police went on with their attack but all in vain. Police made other powerful attacks in the 50th, 60th, 62nd and in the injury time, too, while Pakistan made only two remarkable post attempts.

Meanwhile, the disappointed Nepali fans shouted slogans against the Police after the completion of the match.

"It was a one-sided game, but we failed to make any breakthrough," said Police coach Birat Krishna Shrestha. "We were better than WAPDA but we were weakness in the finishing line," Shrestha added.

WAPDA coach Khalid Butt said, "The draw is satisfactory, but we had thought we could win. Our players were exhausted, too". Commenting on the Police, he said, "The home team had the fitness problem."
