Police head constable assaults constable inside Singha Durbar for not saluting him

KATHMANDU, April 9: Inside the Ministry of Finance at Singha Durbar, a police head constable misbehaved with a constable for not saluting him.

According to police sources, Police Constable Sundar Singh, who works in the Singha Durbar Security Battalion, was mistreated by Head Constable Ujjwal Bhandari. Head Constable Bhandari is assigned to the security of the Finance Minister.

Police stated that around 10:30 AM on Tuesday morning, Bhandari slapped Singh for not saluting him.

Kathmandu Valley Police Chief AIG Deepak Thapa said that upon receiving information about the incident, he instructed Singh Durbar Battalion SP Santosh Tamang to investigate the matter thoroughly.
