RAJBIRAJ, Feb 2: Security personnel and drug traffickers exchanged fires at Gobargadha of Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-13 in Saptari district.
Acting on a tip-off that marijuana was being trafficked, an Armed Police Force (APF) team started tracking down the smugglers. Drug traffickers opened fire on the police. In retaliation, on duty-police also fired a shot, said SP Khum Bahadur Thapa of Armed Police Force 6. Police have seized 42 kg of marijuana.
Police have arrested Indian national Udaya Mukhiya, Hira Mukhiya and Lal Bahadur Raya of Hanuman Nagar Kankalini.
However, no casualties have been reported.
