Police begin crackdown on vehicles with unauthorized Indian number plates

RAUTAHAT, June 18: Local authorities have launched strict monitoring to curb the use of vehicles with unauthorized Indian number plates, bypassing customs duties. Action is being taken against individuals, who operate Indian vehicles without fulfilling their customs obligations.

RAUTAHAT, June 18: Local authorities have launched strict monitoring to curb the use of vehicles with unauthorized Indian number plates, bypassing customs duties. Action is being taken against individuals, who operate Indian vehicles without fulfilling their customs obligations.


Recently, a Bolero vehicle bearing an Indian number plate was apprehended in Garuda Municipality, Shivanagar, Rautahat. Subsequently, the vehicle was handed over to Gaur Customs authorities.

Superintendent of Armed Police Force (APF) Madhav Regmi of the APF 11 Ganapati Battalion confirmed that during routine checks, the Bolero with the registration number BR 22 P 1957 was seized and handed over to customs.


SP Regmi further stated that the vehicle was being operated unlawfully, without fulfilling customs obligations. The assessed value of the vehicle, as determined by customs officials, is Rs 700,000.
