Police beef up security in boarder areas

KANCHANPUR, May 24: The Nepal Police has beefed up security along the boarder areas in Kanchanpur district for controlling the criminal activities.



The police have given top priority to control criminal activities, poaching of wild animals and monitoring of border pillar, Sub-Inspector of Nepal Police Devi Dutta Panta said.[break]



Likewise, the police have also cautioned the locals not to use the 500 rupees notes of Indian currency. The Nepal government has banned the use of 500 note of Indian currency.



Panta further said that police are well prepared in patrolling with the Armed Police Force (APF) to maintain security in boarder side.

It is noted that the criminal activities have decreased after the implementation of the effective police patrol in the area.
