RUKUM WEST, Aug 14: Landslides induced by incessant rainfall has forced police personnel to shift to safer location leaving their police beat office of Bafikot rural municipality, according to District Police Office.

The landslides have made the house that police personnel were staying extremely vulnerable of being swept away, according to DSP Sumit Khadka of District Police Office.  In turn, the police office has moved to a local’s house at Naduwa bazaar.


The rainfall and landslides have increased vulnerability of residents. Police have also shifted residents at greater risks to safer locations.
